Dayton Section of the American Chemical Society Annual Poster Session at the University of Dayton
March 8, 2010 - Michael Mante in Dr. Higgins' group received an ACS Graduate Research Poster Award (including $100 prize) for his poster entitled "Calcite dissolution kinetics in near equilibrium solution using a flow through reactor: Implications for long-term modeling of mineral dissolution in geologic formations".

American Geophysical Union (AGU) Meeting in San Francisco.
Ms. Brittney Campbell's poster was "An Automated Method of Scanning Probe Microscopy (SPM) Data Analysis and Reactive Site Tracking for Mineral-Water Interface Reactions Observed at the Nanometer Scale", reporting on work funded by the US Department of Energy.

Ms. Sweta Bose recently received the ACS Graduate Research Poster Award for her poster on aqueous chromate interactions with barium sulfate surfaces which she presented at the Dayton ACS Local Section Annual Poster Session on March 2, 2007.
